Results!

I get audition results tonight at class (which ends at 7)! Wish me luck!

Hey guys, the results are in! I've been accepted into the Jr. Company and I've passed the pointe evaluation. Looks like my summer will be full of dancing! I can't officially start pointe until mid-June, and until then I'm going to focus on strengthening and technique 100%.

  2. Congratulations on making Jr. Company and passing pointe!! Have a lot of fun and fulfilment with all your dancing!

I serve as manager to musician Allison Crowe. It's wonderful to hear you're going to be dancing in recital to Allison's recording of The Beatles' "Let It Be". Our thanks to you, your class and instructors for choosing this piece of music. May it bring a lot of joy to all you dancers and your audience :)

Allison is rehearsing right now for her very first on-stage performance with a ballet company - Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet The RWB calls dance "visible music" which is so fitting. (Maybe it's known as that, but it's a new term to us!)

Again, best wishes - may you continue to be passionate about dance and all you do!

  3. Congratulations!!! Pointe is hard-my first class I sweated more than I ever had before-but it is, as Anonymous said, extremely rewarding. And yes, please keep us updated! I'll be curious to see what shoes you get!

  4. Hey, congrats! You must be so excited! Pointe is hard, but so worth it. Even though I've been doing ballet since I was 4, I actually started pointe pretty late myself, last year at 16. It's almost easier starting later though, cause you can sometimes have more strength than the younger kids and more understanding of corrections and such... at least I think so. *shrugs* :P

Have fun getting your shoes and with your first class! I was bouncing off the walls of the studio. So was my teacher actually, she knew I'd been wanting to do pointe since I was 12! :)

  5. Congratulations!!
Is it possible that you could post your ballet schedule?

Also, what ballet school or intensive will you go to in Summer if you get the money to do it?
